http://www.voanews.com/a/3729352.html Firstly, the story is factually false. The people protesting have done so in SUPPORT of the fight against corruption, and against the government that planned to stifle it. The story doesn't go as far as to outright state this, but implies it at every step. A few sources on this: http://www.euronews.com/2017/02/13/romanian-protesters-call-on-eu-for-help http://www.reuters.com/article/us-romania-government-protests-idUSKBN15R0ZB Not a primary source, but a lot of sources are listed: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2017_Romanian_protests This aside, mister Adamescu, while technically a disident, he's opposing the rule of law in a country whose progress in this area has been praised by the US, by the EU as a whole and by its individual members, by an overwhelming majority of NGOs. He's also involved in corruption cases in Romania, which makes his statements, at best, self serving... His father died not due to being convicted to prison, for bribing judges (also, he was also, at his time of death, on trial for bankrupting the biggest car insurance company in Romania), but due to complications to some surgery he had in a private hospital. So, to sum it up, the story lies about what people are protesting against (by reversing their position completely), interviews someone who has an arrest warrant on his name to talk about how prosecuting the crime he's accused of is overzealous, while completely failing to mention any of this, but putting in lies about the person's father, someone who was convicted to prison for corruption as well. I would say I am disappointed, but I'm not. I'm outraged. We fight for our country's future, and you interview a dipshit that didn't even manage to steal his own way up the chain, had to rely on his father? How you have fallen, from a symbol of freedom 28 years ago, now a source of propaganda...
